Born in Havana, René Rodríguez immigrated into the United States with his immediate family. A brief stay in Miami and the family moved to Connecticut and has since resided in the state.
A serial entrepreneur, while attending business school, Rene established a contracting business. In 1986, the business was parlayed into a Real Estate Asset Acquisition and Management Company. The company acquired residential commercial properties throughout Connecticut, Massachusetts, Florida, Texas and Missouri.
In 2005 Rene entered the world of technololgy with the launch of Babbalu.com, an English language Latino website www.babbalu.com.
In 2009 Rene acquired and launched MOLI.com, an e-commerce website offering business owners the opportunity to sell their products and promote their businesses www.moli.com.
Currently Rene is a board member of the Hispanic Health Council, The Bushnell Center For The Performing Arts and PRIMER, as well as past member of several community-based organizations. He participates in organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Race for the Cure, Juvenile Diabetes, The Connecticut Children’s Hospital, Connecticut’s AIDS Coalition.
Rene is a graduate of Morse School of Business. He is the very proud father of Julian, Adriel, Marlena and Kyle.
