Alberto Daire serves as President of Liberty Power—the only minority owned retailer of electricity with a national presence. In this capacity, he oversees the overall operations of the company.
In 2001, in the midst of a national economic downturn, Mr. Daire teamed with other professionals from the energy, telecommunications and financial services sectors to create Liberty Power. Headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Liberty Power supplies power to over 20,000 businesses and government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and Social Security Administration. Some of their business customers include New York Life, Walmart, Bank of America, JCPenny, Linens N Things, CircuitCity, and Lowe’s. In less than four years, Liberty Power has gone from grossing less than $1 million in their first year to more than $100 million in 2005. The company has been featured in numerous media
outlets, including The Miami Herald, Ft. Lauderdale Sun Sentinel, Detroit Free Press, Hispanics Today, Hispanic Business and Hispanic Trends.
Prior to forming Liberty Power, Mr. Daire served in management and leadership roles at General Electric and Nortel Networks.
Mr. Daire graduated from the University of Miami (Florida), with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and later earned an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of the Young Presidents Organization of America. In recent times, he was honored by Northwood University and is proud to be considered amongst the class of 2008 Outstanding Business Leaders. Mr. Daire and his wife Elizabeth are the proud parents of Sebastian and Jillian.
